Each month a Department is recognized for exceptional performance to improve the services and/or care they provide. This month the ICU wins the Quality Department of the Month because it has been over one year since they have had a catheter-associated urinary tract infection and they have reduced other patient events such as bloodstream infections, falls, and pressure ulcers. In addition, the ICU is working on several performance improvement projects to reduce patient delirium, improve pain management, mobility, and ABG turnaround times. So join us in congratulating the ICU for all the great care they give to our patients and to thank them for all they do!
