Records and Retention
Natividad Records and Retention manages records and controls and maintains them, to insure the proper retention period, destruction, and storage for all types of hospital records.
The benefits of this department are as follows:

Our goals are to provide real time electronic record management and storage for all hospital departments
Services we provide:
Empty/Open Shred Bins
Every Thursday we have a company that will empty your shred bin. Should your bin become full prior to the Thursday service we can make special arrangements for an earlier pick-up.
If for any reason you misplace a document in the shred bin, our department is able to retrieve it. Just a note; all shred bins are for sensitive documents only. Please allow 24-48 hours to complete your request.
Storage Pick-Up
We have the ability to pick-up 10 boxes at a time which can be scanned into our document database and can be retrieved as needed. Please allow 24-48 hours to complete your request.
Document Retrieval
We are able to quickly retrieve any documents sent to our database.
For all requests please use our order ticketing system. This will help us better manage your request and increase our efficiency.
Tickets are created in the following ways:
- Emailing a request to Natividad – Records & Retention.
- Call Records and Retention at 831-783-2449 or 831-783-2445.
- Create a request through the Records and Retention Service Desk web page at Records and Retention Service Desk.
