Questions and Answers
- Q: Can I work on my assignments from home?A:HealthStream is a web-based application, so yes employees may access & work on courses from home; however, due to liability & the inability for management to validate actual work hours – employees will NOT be paid for time spent on courses from home. We highly encourage employees to take these courses onsite.
- Q: Where is the HealthStream link?A:The HealthStream web link can be found on the homepage.
- Q: I don’t know my username and/or I forgot my password – who do I contact?A:Please contact the IT Service Desk at x4357.
Email Notifications
We are pleased to announce that the email notification functionality
within the HealthStream system has been enabled. What does this
mean for you as an Administrator, Instructor and/or Student (employee)?
Instructors: Will receive an auto generated email that will include the class roster three days in advance of the scheduled class.
Managers/Supervisors: Will receive an email containing a student assignment past due report one (1) day following the assignment expiration date (ex: Due date: 3/30 – email will be sent 3/31).
Students (Employees): Will receive auto notification when:
- A new learning activity has been assigned
- Approaching due date (reminder of learning activity)
- Assignment past due (1 day after due date)
- When he/she has been “dropped” from a class (voluntarily or involuntary)
- Class cancellation
Please keep in mind that students (employees) have the ability to modify the email address field (in the My Profile section), which means you can change it from the imported NMC email address to a personal email address without Administrator approval. It’s highly recommended that you do not make this change; however, there’s no way to prevent you from doing it. As an employee it is your responsibility & imperative that you regularly check your email inboxes. This will assist greatly in ensuring that important messages are read in a timely manner.
Please contact Human Resources at x2713 with any questions.
