- Understand the market forces acting on today’s health care organizations
- Discuss the implications those forces have for day-to-day physician leadership – now and in the future
- Recognize where you can make meaningful (and desperately needed) leadership contributions to the organization
- Understand the strategic and market imperatives that make those contributions so critical

- Understand the most significant industry trends to which provider organizations must respond
- Recognize how industry trends manifest in the local organization and what challenges and opportunities they create for physician leaders
- Identify strategies for responding effectively to those challenges and opportunities
- Identify potential leadership contributions physicians can make – as individuals and as a group
- Prioritize the skill development needed to enable those contributions
