This talk will update the physicians on the current recommendations for cardiac rehab by Medicare. It will discuss the AHA ACC current reconditions for which groups should be encouraged to participate. The components of a robust comprehensive program will be presented. An example of a successful implementation of home based cardiac rehab will be presented.
Desired Outcomes:
Diagnose which patients are appropriate for cardiac rehab.
Identify components of cardiac rehab required by Medicare.
Recommend alternatives for cardiac rehab for different patients groups, including women and minorities.
